The Counsellor in Training (CIT) program is open to campers 15 years of age and older. The CIT program is an opportunity for our senior campers to demonstrate their leadership skills working with younger camper, alongside counsellors, in preparation to become camp counselors themselves. The selection process is based on a camper’s potential as future staff. Lifeguarding qualifications and other leadership experience involving children are valued.
Campers wishing to become CITs should apply online and include a letter about their experiences and qualities they feel will be beneficial to the CIT and future counselor roles. CIT applications are reviewed late winter/early Spring and campers who are selected will attend for four weeks and pay for two. CITs live in the cabins with the campers and are expected to assist the counsellors and other staff. As a CIT you will still ride twice a day in the regular lessons and take part in all camp activities while developing a leadership role.
